Gave up on you
Poetry.
The missing rib between us.

To go on
Dogwood.
Heard branches white bloom in the night.

Make it last
Silence
Stories grew stories grew herds of words.

Overhead
Geese.
Rain and deer in the clearings.

No more lines to describe
How sparrows darn the sky
Hollow vowels flexing winds
Burning out the distance before we get to it.
